Description Apolipoprotein CI is one of the protein components of VLDL lipoprotein. The normal plasma concentration of Apo CI is 4-7mg per 100ml. Elevated levels of Apo CI may offer some protection from obesity and insulin-dependent diabetes. Some evidence exists that the Apo CI H2 gene is positively associated with late-onset Alzheimer's disease. Source: Human plasma (Shown to be non reactive for HBsAg, anti-HCV, anti-HBc, and negative for anti-HIV 1 & 2 by FDA approved tests.) Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer
