Description High density lipoprotein (HDL) is a complex that transports cholesterol in the blood to the liver. It is the smallest and densest of the lipoproteins as it contains the highest proportion of protein. It is thought that high levels of HDL can help to remove cholesterol from atheroma in the arteries thereby decreasing the risk of heart disease. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
