Description | Preparation: Purified LDL is labelled with the fluorescent probe Dil (1,1'-dioctadecyl-3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-indocarbocyanine perchlorate). The resultant product is then dialyzed against 0.15M sodium chloride, 0.05M TRIS, pH 7.4, 0.3mM EDTA, sterilized by filtration. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Flow Cytometry: Used for monitoring Ac-LDL uptake by monocytes/macrophages in conjunction with excess unlabelled Ac-LDL. Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C. For long-term storage, aliquot and store at 4°C. Do not freeze. Aliquots are stable for 6 months. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
