| Description | Humanin (HN) encodes a polypeptide that appears to protect neurons from both cytotoxic and apoptotic cell death in Alzheimer’s disease. Analogues of the HN peptide have been shown to spare memory in animal models of Alzheimer’s, suggesting its potentially important therapeutic role. It is found in highest levels in testis, colon, and AD-affected brain tissues. Control Peptide for H7953-29 Sequence (linear): LLLLTSEIDLPVKRRA Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute to nominal volume (see reconstitution instructions for peptides) and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap.
