| Description | Antistasin, isolated from the Mexican leech Hementeria officinalis, is a 119 amino acid protein which is a selective and potent inhibitor of coagulation factor Xa. (D-Arg32)-Antistasin (32-38) is the shortest peptide displaying anticoagulant activity in human plasma (1,2). Sequence (linear): D-Arg-Cys-Arg-Val-His-Cys-Pro Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute (see reconstitution instructions for peptides) and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
