| Description | A member of the TNF superfamily, OPG is expressed in many different tissues, including the heart, liver, lung and bone marrow although it main role is to mediate bone density. When expressed, the protein may form dimers or stay in its monomeric form. The three dimensional structure of OPG can be divided into seven distinct domains, four of which correspond to the extracellular region of TNFR proteins and constitutes the soluble form of OPG. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to human OPG expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~20kD Endotoxin: <1EU/ug (LAL) Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
