| Description | Human OPG (Osteoprotegerin, also know as OCIF (Osteoclastogenesis inhibitory factor), is a member of the TNF receptor superfamily. Recombinant human OPG/OCIF specifically acts on bone tissues and increases bone mineral density and bone volume associated with a decrease of active osteoclast number. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to 175aa from human Osteoprotegerin expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~19.9kD Endotoxin: ≤ 0.1ng/ug Biological Activity: Determined by its ability to neutralize the stimulation of U937 cells treated with 10ng/ml of soluble RANKL. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
