| Description | The DJ-1 is a ubiquitously expressed protein involved in various cellular processes including spermatogenesis and fertilization, cancer, RNA-binding, androgen-receptor signaling and oxidative stress. Mutations in the DJ-1 are the cause of autosomal recessive early-onset Parkinson’s disease 7 (Park7). Recombinant human DJ-1, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E. coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques. AA Sequence: MRGSHHHHHH/ GMASMTGGQQ/ MGRDLYDDDD/ KDRWGSMASK/ RALVILAKGA/ EEMETVIPVD/ VMRRAGIKVT/ VAGLAGKDPV/ QCSRDVVICP/ DASLEDAKKE/ GPYDVVVLPG/ GNLGAQNLSE/ SAAVKEILKE/ QENRKGLIAA/ ICAGPTALLA/ HEIGFGSKVT/ THPLAKDKMM/ NGGHYTYSEN/ RVEKDGLILT/ SRGPGTSFEF/ ALAIVEALNG/ KEVAAQVKAP/ LVLKD Enzyme Activity: Not determined. This product is recommended for use in applications that do not require a catalytically active form of the protein. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
