| Description | Nesfatin-1, a polypeptide produced by cleavage of the NEFA/nucleobindin-2 (NUCB2), is a secreted protein, expressed in the appetite-control hypothalamic nuclei. Nesfatin is involved in the regulation of the feeding behavior. Intracerebroventicular injection of nesfatin-1 reduces body weight in rats be affecting the animal food intake. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to mouse Nesfatin-1, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~8kD Endotoxin: <0.1ng/ug Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months after receipt at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
