Description Human gAcrp30 (amp-1) also known as Adipolean is a 16.6kD protein that corresponds to the C-terminal globular domain of adiponectin (amp-1). gAcrp30/Adipolean is expressed and secreted exclusively by adipose tissue. This protein possesses unique pharmacological properties for regulation of body weight and lipid metabolism. It is a key component in controlling energy homeostasis. Recently, gAcrp30/Adipolean has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of myelomonocytic progenitors. The Recombinant Human gAcrp30/Adipolean is a 16.6kD protein consisting of 145 amino acid residues. Source: Recombinant, globular, human Adiponectin expressed in E. coli. Biologcal Activity: Determined by its ability to inhibit the proliferation of murine myeloid cell lines M1. The ED50 for this effect is < 1-3ug/ml. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
