| Description | Adiponectin is an adipokine exclusively secreted by adipocytes, which plays a major role in the control of fat metabolism and insulin sensitivity, through the regulation of energy homeostasis and glucose and lipid metabolism. A reduced level of plasma adiponectin is associated with type 2 diabetes and obesity insulin resistance. Source: Purified recombinant adiponectin expressed in High-5 insect cells. Applications: Suitable for use in Functional Assays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Endotoxin: ≤1EU/ug Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile dH2O.. Aliquot and store at -20°C.
