| Description | Glycoprotein that belongs to a family which takes part in the activation and regulation of the MMP-activity. Forms a non-covalent stoichiometric complex with latent and active MMP's. Inhibits the activities of MMP-1, MMP-2, MMP-12 and transin. Source: TIMP-2, isolated from human fibroblasts. Molecular Weight: ~21kD (non-reduced), ~24kD (reduced) (SDS-PAGE). Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C.
