| Description | Texas Red is a red-fluorescent dye and when bound to Vigna radiata Lectin (VRA) can show the binding pattern of this lectin in cellular imaging applications. There is very little overlap between the emission spectra of Texas Red and FITC making this combination ideal for dual-labeling experiments. Rhodamine dyes, such as Texas Red, are more photostable and less sensitive to pH change when compared to other dyes such as fluorescein. Source: Mung bean Blood Specificity: Rabbit Agglutinin (Trypsin-Treated) Sugar Specificity: alpha-Galactose Inhibitory Carbohydrate: alpha-Galactose Excitation: 595nm Emission: 615nm Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Texas Red conjugates are sensitive to light. | ||
