| Description | Immunologically and biologically similar to human laminin. Merosin was purified from human placenta, assayed negative for antibodies to HBsAg, HCV, HIV-1, HIV-2, HTLV-1, HTLV-2 and Traponema pallidum. Several bands by SDS-PAGE, with primary bands at ~300, 200 and 80kD in 6% reducing gels Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, production of anti-serum, and neurite-stimulation asssays and cell attachment assays. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilutions: Cell attachment assay: 10ug/ml Storage and Stability: May be stored at -20°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -70°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
