Description			Recombinant human CK-18 is expressed in E. coli with an amino-terminal hexahistidine tag. Tissue polypeptide specific antigen was first identified as a tumor marker in the late 1950’s, and has recently been shown to be closely related to human cytokeratin 18. Cytokeratins are a group of about 20 cytoskeletal proteins, whose degradation gives rise to soluble fragments, measurable in the blood of patients. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Aliquots are stable for 6 months after receipt at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer.
