| Description | Integrin alpha V beta 3 was purified from human placenta by affinity chromatography using immobilized monoclonal antibodies to alpha V beta 3 integrin. A tissue detergent extract, which was applied to the column was prepared as previously described (1). Product was tested and found negative for HIV and Hepatitis. Functional Activity: Confirmed by vWf (von Willibrand factor) binding assay. It is expected that this preparation of alphaV beta3 integrin will also interact with other alphaV beta3 binding proteins in an RGD-dependent fashion. Applications: Suitable for use in Electrophoresis and as Western Blot control. Also useful for in vitro binding experiments with metalloproteinase MMP-2 as well as functional evaluations. Other applications not tested. Storage and Stability: For long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and freeze at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Aliquots are stable for 6 months. | ||
