| Description | Caused by one of four closely related virus serotypes of the genus Flavivirus, family Flaviviridae, each serotype is sufficiently different that there is no cross-protection and epidemics caused by multiple serotypes (hyperendemicity) can occur. In cell culture experiments and mice Morpholino antisense oligos have shown specific activity against Dengue virus. PreM is considered as a signal peptide responsible for dengue envelope translocation in cells. Experiment showed it can elicit protective immune response, it is considered as a potentialtarget for vaccine development. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to Dengue 2 premembrane, fused to 6x His-Tag, at C-terminal expressed in E coli. Molecular Weight: ~18kD Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
