| Description | HBsAg is the surface antigen of the Hepatitis-B-Virus (HBV). The capsid of a virus has different surface proteins from the rest of the virus. The antigen is a protein that binds specifically on one of these surface proteins. It is commonly referred to as the Australian Antigen. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to HBsAg, the surface antigen of the Hepatitis-B-Virus, expressed in Pichia pastoris. Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunochromatography (capture and conjugate) and as an Immunogen for monoclonal antibody production. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: ELISA: with anti-HBsAg antibodies (capture and conjugate) Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at -20°C. Reconstitute with sterile buffer or ddH2O. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. Reconstituted product is stable for 6 months at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
