| Description | Acute HIV-1 infection presents in the majority of cases as a transient symptomatic flu-like illness, associated with high levels of HIV-1 replication and a virus-specific immune response. It therefore important to make a diagnosis in cases of fever of unknown origin. There are no HIV-1-specific antibodies detectable at this early stage of infection and the diagnosis therefore requires specific laboratory tests for the detection of HIV-1 antigen. For more information about HIV-1 please download the PDF datasheet below. Source: Baculovirus Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA and Lateral Flow. Other applications not tested.
