| Description | Source: Trichomonas vaginalis, strain C-1:NIH, from washed and lysed purified protozoa. Cell Count: Approximately 3.8e7 cells per ml before inactivation Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Inactivation: Cells are lysed by sonication and freeze/thawing. Confirmed inactive by no visible growth in permissive media after 5 days compared to positive control. Storage and Stability: Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing and store at -70°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Note: No test guarantees a product to be non-infectious. All materials should be handled as if potentially infectious. Generally accepted laboratory practices appropriate for infectious materials should be employed when handling this product. | ||
