Description | VSV is a member of the Rhabdoviridae family, and consists of a single RNA molecule that encodes five proteins, one of which is a surface glycoprotein (G). G is a type I membrane glycoprotein and is responsible for viral binding to cell surface receptors and initiating the infectious process. VSV-G Epitope Tags specifically recognize fusion proteins containing the VSV-G epitope tag sequence (YTDIEMNRLGK). Applications: Suitable for use in ELISA, Western blot. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Optimum dilutions to be determined by researcher. Storage and Stability: Lyophilized powder may be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Stable for 12 months at -20°C. Reconstitute to nominal volume (see reconstitution instructions for peptides) and store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. |
