Description | Streptavidin Phycoerythrin (SAPE) is made by conjugating streptavidin with R-phycoerythrin. Care is taken during the conjugation to ensure that the fluorescent properties of the R-phycoerythrin are not compromised in the resulting product. Streptavidin (PE) has a broad absorption range from 450nm-580nm and a maximum emission at about 570-590nm. It is a highly fluorescent label which can overcome problems of endogenous fluorescence. This product can be used in flow cytometry or tissue staining as a single label or for double labeling applications in conjunction with fluorescein. Applications: Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry. Other applications not tested. Recommended Dilution: Flow Cytometry: 10ug/ml Optimal dilutions to be determined by the researcher. Excitation: 450-580nm Emission: 570-590nm Storage and Stability: Store product at 4°C in the dark. DO NOT FREEZE! Stable at 4°C for 12 months after receipt as an undiluted liquid. Dilute required amount only prior to immediate use. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. Caution: PE conjugates are sensitive to light. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial prior to removing the cap. |
