Description Substrate for glucuronosyltransferases, a major part of phase II metabolism. UDPGA is a nucleoside diphosphate sugar which serves as a source of glucuronic acid for polysaccharide biosynthesis. It may also be epimerized to UDP iduronic acid, which donates iduronic acid to polysaccharides. In animals, UDP glucuronic acid is used for formation of many glucosiduronides with various aglycones. Alternate Name: UDP-GlcA, UDPGA, Uridine-diphosphate-glucuronic acid trisodium salt, Uridine[5′]diphospho[1]-a-D-glucopyranosuronic acid trisodium salt; α-D-Glucopyranuronic Acid 1→P’-Ester With Uridine 5’-(Trihydrogen Diphosphate) Trisodium Salt; α-D-Glucopyranuronic Acid 1→P’-Ester With Uridine 5’-(Trihydrogen Diphosphate) Sodium Salt; (2S,3S,4S,5R,6R)-6-(((((((2R,3S,4R,5R)-5-(2,4-dioxo-3,4-dihydropyrimidin-1(2H)-yl)-3,4-dihydroxytetrahydrofuran-2-yl)methoxy)oxidophosphoryl)oxy)oxidophosphoryl)oxy)-3,4,5-trihydroxytetrahydro-2H-pyran-2-carboxylate, trisodium salt CAS No: 63700-19-6 Molecular Formula: C15H19N2O18P2Na3 Molecular Weight: 646.2 Appearance: Supplied as a white, lyophilized powder.
