| Description | E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase involved in postreplication repair of UV-damaged DNA. Postreplication repair functions in gap-filling of a daughter strand on replication of damaged DNA. Associates to the E2 ubiquitin conjugating enzyme UBE2B to form the UBE2B-RAD18 ubiquitin ligase complex involved in mono-ubiquitination of DNA-associated PCNA on 'Lys-164'. Has ssDNA binding activity. Source: Recombinant protein corresponding to aa1-495 from human RAD18, fused to His-SUMO-Tag at N-terminal, expressed in E. coli. Molecular Weight: ~72.2kD AA Sequence: MDSLAESRWPPGLAVMKTIDDLLRCGICFEYFNIAMIIPQCSHNYCSLCIRKFLSYKTQCPTCCVTVTEPDLKNNRILDELVKSLNFARNHLLQFALESPAKSPASSSSKNLAVKVYTPVASRQSLKQGSRLMDNFLIREMSGSTSELLIKENKSKFSPQKEASPAAKTKETRSVEEIAPDPSEAKRPEPPSTSTLKQVTKVDCPVCGVNIPESHINKHLDSCLSREEKKESLRSSVHKRKPLPKTVYNLLSDRDLKKKLKEHGLSIQGNKQQLIKRHQEFVHMYNAQCDALHPKSAAEIVREIENIEKTRMRLEASKLNESVMVFTKDQTEKEIDEIHSKYRKKHKSEFQLLVDQARKGYKKIAGMSQKTVTITKEDESTEKLSSVCMGQEDNMTSVTNHFSQSKLDSPEELEPDREEDSSSCIDIQEVLSSSESDSCNSSSSDIIRDLLEEEEAWEASHKNDLQDTEISPRQNRRTRAAESAEIEPRNKRNRN Storage and Stability: May be stored at 4°C for short-term only. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing. Store at -20°C. For maximum recovery of product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and prior to removing the cap. Further dilutions can be made in assay buffer. | ||
